The Tuber Uncinatum, commonly called Uncinato Truffle is very similar to Tuber aestivum (Scorzone Truffle) of which some authors consider it a variety.
The Peridium warts has not striated transversely and Globa is almost chocolate brown in mature specimens.
The smell is strong and pleasant and the flavor is pronounced. It matures in autumn, from October to December, in deciduous forests, mainly on soils rich in humus or clay.
